My life has been dedicated to music, art, NOLA culture and celebrating life. I was one of the first DJs for WWOZ community radio. I’ve hooked up hundreds of New Orleans musicians with events and festival gigs, took 200 musicians to Europe as a booking agent and road manager, earned production credits on video programs featuring New Orleans music, and organized numerous art exhibitions. For decades, my photos have been featured in exhibitions, music albums and CDs, press kits, books, magazines and websites. I self-published the Jolly Jazz Calendar, a weekly music calendar that later evolved into a free community email service and I’ve applied my love for grassroots community outreach on behalf of many nonprofits.Volunteering for the New Orleans Musicians Clinic led to a job there after Hurricane Katrina, setting up weekly gigs and finding housing for musicians. More recently, I produced a weekly, free-admission six month film series about New Orleans culture and music.
